Cub Scout Day Camp 2008

It's a Cub Scout Circus!
We are very excited about this year's Cub Scout Day Camp. The boys will have the opportunity to earn many belt loops, meet boys from other packs, and strengthen their own pack. 2008 Cub Scout Day Camp will be held on June 16-20th. Registration forms will be mailed out soon to all cub scouts in the Foothills District. If you have any questions about day camp feel free to contact any of the members of the committee.
In Memoriam: Bill Barber
We are saddened by the passing of longtime Cobb County Scouter Bill Barber, who passed away Thursday, April 24, 2008. Bill was a lifelong member of the Boy Scouts, and a was a fixture for many years in the Colossal Cobb and Foothills District. Bill was admired by all who knew him, and he leaves behind many, many friends in the Scouting community.

The Saturday after February 8, Scouting Anniversary Day, Scout Sabbath offers an opportunity for worshippers to honor Scouts and Scouters, as well as to learn more themselves about the value of Scouting as a youth program chartered to a Jewish organization. It gives a rabbi a framework to address Scouts directly, in addition to speaking about Scouting to the congregation.
