Marietta Independence Day Parade

Please join the Foothills District in celebrating the 4th of July by carrying the "Big" American Flag in the parade through the City of Marietta. All Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts are welcome to join in and show their spirit (families too). Please attend in Class A uniforms and bring a water bottle.
Foothills 2010-2011 Planning Calendar
The Foothills district calendar for 2010-2011 is available for download (latest version 07-05-10). This calendar is for your use in planning the upcoming year's activities, and is subject to change. Please see the online calendar on this website for the most up-to-date information. In particular, the events that take place on Atlanta Area Council properties (Bert Adams, Woodruff, Allatoona) are tentative.

Participant Qualifications
* Must be a registered member of the Boy Scouts of America.
* Must have completed This Is Scouting and the Position Specific Training (for your position) prior to attending Powder Horn course.
* Be able to meet physical requirements of BSA Annual Health and Medical Record (A, B, C) in a backcountry environment.
New this Year
Powder Horn 2011 will include as participants a coed Venturing Crew, maximum of 8 youth. Youth participants must be registered with the Boy Scouts of America and be members of a Venturing Crew.

2010 Foothills District Honor Roll Requirements
The Foothills Honor Roll (otherwise known as the Chicken Pin award) is our district's way of recognizing units that go above and beyond the national Quality Unit requirements. By completing the Honor Roll requirements by the end of 2010, your unit leaders will be eligible to wear the coveted Chicken Pin, which is awarded each year at our Annual Awards Banquet.
