Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills

Course Information: 

“Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills” (IOLS) is one of the training courses required for a Boy Scout /Varsity Scout Leader to be considered “Trained”, and to wear that Patch. And, it’s a fun weekend of outdoor Scouting.

Once your registration for the above class is confirmed through Doubleknot you will receive an email to the address you used when you registered with reference materials, an information packet, and map to the location.

The other Course needed (along with YPT) to be considered “Trained” is “Troop Leader Training ”(aka SALT, BSLST, or SM/ASM Specific). Come Friday night May 5th, attend that Training, and camp overnight. You’ll be on site for the ITOLS course which starts at 8:00 Saturday morning, and you can be “Trained” in a weekend. Please register separately for the “Troop Leader Training”.
