Red Top Mountain Service Opportunity

Foothills district Scouting units are invited to partiicipate in a weekend of camping, service, and fun!

On February 24th,25th, and 26th we will be camping at Red Top Mountain State Park. We will be camping in a primitive camp site area on Friday and Saturday nights with scout pick up around 12:00pm Sunday. Saturday will consist of a 4 hour service project on the Iron Hill Trail Camp Ground from 8:00am to 12:00pm. After the service project will be free time for the scouts to do many activities such as Fishing, Geocaching, Orienteering, or Other Achievement Projects. Achievement projects for packs, please let me know on what project you would like to complete.

The cost of the Camp Out will be $10.00 per scout or adult to cover food costs for the weekend. Scouts and Adults are to provide their own gloves for the service project. Class B’s will be required for the weekend dress. This camp out will be a Leave No Trace Camp Out so all Scouts and Parents will be required to bring their own eating utensils and plates, as well as a water bottle. Please Contact David Briick at the information below or if you have any questions. Permission Slips and Health Forms are required. The service project is open to all Troops, Crews, and Cub Scouts.
